Austin Vida presents a spectacular lineup of Latin music at Flamingo Cantina Saturday August 9 on 6th Street. Set to play are Austin Latin Bands El Tule and Son de Rey along with San Antonio group Los Nahuatlatos.
Los Nahuatlatos – 9:30 PM
Rooted in the musical traditions of San Antonio, Los Nahuatlatos pulls from traditional styles of Latino music inncluding Son Jarocho, Latin Jazz and R&B while fusing contemporary elements of hip-hop, ska, reggae and soul.
El Tule – 11 PM
Austin Band El Tule’s music is about history, art and culture often focusing on legends and tales of the mystical. The sound that the band brings to each performance naturally transcends all cultural and social backgrounds.
Son de Rey – 12:30 AM
With the recent release of their new single “Pray For A Lover,” Son de Rey demonstrates their versatility and crossover potential. They incorporate elements of Cumbia, Salsa, Pop, R&B and Latin Rock into their musical arrangements along with dynamic theatrical performances.
